KORE PERFORMANCE - ACCESSORIES

RACE SERIES CONTROL ARMS

Adding RACE SERIES HYBRID CONTROL ARMS will give you the final touch to your KORE suspension system.  Machined from solid 7075-T6 billet aluminum, they offer greater strength, smoother articulation and more steering precision. Plus they'll give you more tire clearance, so you can retain your turning radius when running large off-road tires.  They are also fully rebuildable and owner serviceable.  A perfect modification for any serious off-road adventure when failure is not an option.

KORE’s proprietary Evo Joint is machined from solid billet 4140 forgings.  Inside is a 17-4, stainless steel Uniball captured by Delrin cups.  These parts have proven to be indestructible and carry a lifetime warranty on hard parts. These are the sickest parts you can put on a Heavy Duty Dodge Ram. So sick, they're actually illegal for racing.  But we would run 'em if we could.

CHASE SERIES CONTROL ARMS

KORE manufactures these special parts to provide the energy absorbing power of a bushing with the steering precision and flexibility of a bearing. They CNC machine the bearing housing to perfectly follow the 3-D contours of the bushing. This housing captures the bushing without preloading/deforming it. The petroleum-resistant synthetic rubber bushing is lubricated with silicone gel and pressed into the housing. When the CNC machined sleeves are inserted, the bushing is locked into place laterally, so it can't shift sideways.

As the suspension cycles this unit functions like a bearing. The sleeves silently rotate within the rubber and the rubber rotates within the bearing housing. Simultaneously, lateral misalignment and energy absorption are provided by the flexion of the large diameter rubber bushing. These parts provide a positive "return to center" effect as well as maximum noise, vibration, and harshness attenuation - perfect parts for serious off road use.

KORE RACE SERIES STEERING DAMPER

Most people, when they upgrade their suspension also upgrade their tires.  Larger tires increase traction and true ground clearance as well as provide more sidewall area, so you can run lower pressures.   Increased leverage from larger diameters and increased traction from aggressive off-road style tread patterns quickly overwhelm stock steering dampers.   The valve profile in the KORE RACE SERIES STEERING DAMPER was developed to provide continuous control during the most punishing situations imaginable - big tires at low pressures on rough terrain for long distances.

CHASE SERIES STEERING DAMPER

The Chase Series damper bracket is laser cut from .500 cold-rolled steel. Then the back side is CNC machined to match the radius of the Heavy Duty Dodge tie rod. Three zinc-plated U-bolts secure the damper. This design offers more clearance for aftermarket differential covers and fits all Rams built from 1996 - 2002 that came with horizontally mounted OE dampers. The nitrogen pressure in this steering stabilizer is fully adjustable. Plus KORE uses the same Baja 1000 proven Race Series valving for maximum control with larger tires.

RACE SERIES TRACK BAR

HOW IT WORKS. The purpose of spherical bearings is to provide more articulation and a precise steering feel. The OE track bar uses rubber bushings on both sides while the KORE track bar uses race-quality spherical bearings. This removes much of the slop associated with OE steering components and tightens up the steering response.

This close up view of the KORE track bar bearing shows how the assembly is constructed. We CNC machine the bearing housing out of 4130 chomemoly steel then TIG weld the housing to the mandrel-bent bar. The replaceable, Teflon-lined bearing is retained by circlips on both sides. To keep dirt and debris from touching this part, we include non-squeak BUNA rubber gaskets (not shown) on both sides. These parts also help locate the bar in a symmetrical fashion.

FULL RACING LEAF PACKS

Not your run of the mill leaf spring.  These are made exclusively for KORE by Deaver, the spring manufacturer responsible for more off-road racing championships than any other.

Sold with the UNLIMITED SERIES, RACE SERIES, PRERUNNER SERIES, and as an ADD ON to any other system, these leaf packs provide more wheel travel, greater resistance to axle wrap and wheel hop, a non-linear progression rate and increased strength. Oil-quenched and shot-peened 5160 H material and  high-arch make these springs ride softly and take the abuse of racing.  Stout rubber bushings and double military wraps provide increased strength.

KORE Race Series leaf packs feature a triple military wrap in the front of the spring.   The eyelet is left open and includes greasable poly bushings that use zinc plated sleeves. During development KORE found that because the triple military wrap took up so much space in the front of the spring, the ID of the eyelet was significantly reduced.

KORE had to use a rubber bushing of rather small diameter initially.  The sleeves in these bushings must be captured completely by the OE mounting flanges in front and the shackle in the rear. The sleeves in all leaf spring bushings are vulcanized to the rubber, so the rubber must actually twist while the suspension cycles. This twisting moment would destroy rubber bushings in less than one race.

With nothing substantial locating the assembly, the spring would then "walk" sideways, eventually allowing the leaf material to damage the mounting flanges on the frame.  Bad. To solve this problem KORE switched to high-density polyurethane bushings.

The sleeve is greased and moves independently of the bushing halves.  This feature frees up more travel and removes tremendous amounts of stress from the assembly.  Additionally, these bushings are shaped like a "T" which eliminates the possibility of the leaf spring walking in the hangar.

It's the best part for the job and like all KORE Race Series parts - 100% Baja 1000,Battle tested - the exact part.   Like all KORE springs, they are guaranteed for life.
