For almost twenty years, we've been traveling the Western Hemisphere and leading trips through some of the most beautiful and challenging terrain on the planet. During that time, we've gained a lot of insight as to what works and what doesn't. We know what will hold up and what will leave you stranded miles from nowhere. We've taken that knowledge and tested and evaluated some of the most "purpose built" and reliable products available. Only the products that survive and keep us coming back for more make the cut.
Our product selection process is built on the following three principles:
Function - It has to serve a purpose. We can't afford to take meaningless extras
Durability - One simple beating isn't enough. The stuff has to last
Style - If you can't look good and be comfortable while doing it, why bother.
If something doesn't meet all three criteria, we won’t endorse it.
